EPW - Ulysse Breting, Locle, one-minute tourbillon with pivoted detent chronometer escapement, 54mm, 18K gold original Ulysse Breting HC with five-knuckle hinges, signed gold cuvette bearing attributes, white enamel SS dial, fancy gold hands, small diamonds set to hour and minute hands, seconds-hand is arrow form, SW with setting via a slide on case band at 5, pivoted detent escapement on rotating Ernest Guinand type 2 (Meis classification) carriage, wolf's tooth winding, nickel damascene, s#17739 to cuvette. Gross weight of assembled watch 104.2 dwt (162.0 g). An impressive original example, and it is a pleasure to watch its tourbillon in operation.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, winds somewhat stiffly, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with scattered micro-fine scratches and some toning, very small mar adjacent balance cock screw and one center bridge screw, one case screw is a mismatched non-blued replacement with filing marks to its head; dial with hl below seconds-register at 5, faint hl from center to 10:30, short hl at right perimeter of seconds-register, very small curved fracture adjacent top of seconds-register, pinpoint nick and two small fine scratches just below-right of center; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, mild dings to front and rear, good engine turning detail; tight bow, crown shows little wear; clean plastic crystal.
